MACON SPORTS HALL OF FAME
NOMINATION TO THE MACON SPORTS HALL OF FAME
The Macon Sports Hall of Fame welcomes all nominations for induction into the Hall, provided certain criteria are met.

A candidate must have been born in Bibb County or have been a resident of Bibb County for at least one (1) calendar year, or have participated in Bibb County for a minimum of one (1) year in the sports activities for which they are being recognized.

Nominees must be considered for only one specific category: athlete, coach/manager, civic leader, contributor, multi. If the individual is nominated in the coach category, information on the playing career is not needed and will not be considered. An athlete will be considered only for accomplishments in the selected sports.

Nomination forms must be completed in their entirety or they will not be considered. All nomination forms must be received by February 1st.

Nominees must have had a positive impact on sports in Macon-Bibb County or have brought a positive reflection on Macon and Bibb County through their career accomplishments and must have demonstrated integrity, sportsmanship and positive character.

Any nominee that has not been selected for induction will be removed from the nominee list after five (5) years from the original nomination date. All individuals must be nominated again for consideration for induction.
Please keep in mind that all individuals are brought before the Hall Board Of Directors for discussion and then, if approved for consideration, critiqued by various Committee members who focus on individual sports. Candidates must meet certain criteria to be considered for induction. Please fill out the Nomination Form completely for the candidate to be brought before the Nomination Committee.
