Howard Glover, Sr., inducted 2012
|Howard Glover, Sr. starred in football, basketball and baseball at Ballard Hudson High School between 1949-1953. He served as team captain for both the football and basketball teams his junior and senior seasons. After high school, he signed an Athletic Scholarship with Morris Brown College in Atlanta, where he was a four year starter in both football and basketball. He also lettered one year in track. Glover was an all Southern Intercollegiate Athletic conference (SIAC) for four consecutive years and was an All American selection his senior season. He was a two time All Conference performer in basketball for the Wolverines and was names to the District 29 NAIA Tournament team. He was team captain of the basketball team his junior and senior years. After graduating at Morris Brown with a degree in Health and Physical Education he began his coaching career at Ballard Hudson where he was an assistant football coach, and head basketball and track coach. He later coached in the Atlantic Public School System. He received a Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year Award for football in 1975-1976. Macon is the fourth Hall of Fame for Glover. He is also in the Morris Brown, Atlanta University Center, and SIAC Halls of Fame.|
